We have built a new globally reusable workflow in development farm. After some tests we found 2 methods to deploy it to production environment.

    1. Export the wf as wsp file, then upload to Prod's solution gallery. Then activate the new added "feature" in each subsite's site settings. (ref: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/workflows_f...ploying-a-workflow-on-a-different-server.aspx)

    2. Connect to both DEV and PROD site collection with SharePoint designer. Then copy & paste all steps, save it and publish it.

Hmmm I have google around and cannot find any official "best practice" to deploy workflow. The PROD site collection is already in use so I want to avoid any impact to on-going activities. What is your suggest? Do you have 3rd way to deploy? Thanks for input!
