I added an app server to my farm last night which will be used exclusively for reporting services. The Services on Server show that the Web Application Service and the Workflow Timer service asd well as the Distributed Cache service have all been started on the machine. I'm fairly certain that the WF and DC don't need to run but I'm not sure about the Web App service. I couldn't see where in the technet/msdn guides that this is a requirement for SSRS but before I go switching stuff off I figured I'd ask here. Incidentally, another team member will actually be adding the SSRS bits later this week. I've only patched and added the server to the farm so perhaps one of these services needs to run while the SSRS is being installed? Thanks!
