Anyone have tips/insight/good references for creating MS Teams with respect to legacy site collections.

    So, my understanding thus far:

    • When a Team is created a corresponding AzureAD email enabled Security group and SharePoint Site Collection [modern root site] is created

    • The group is used for permissions and supersedes SharePoint configured permissions (does it get site collection admin or some other layer?)

    • The site is used for back-ending various Team's channel wikis and files

    Questions:

    • For external sharing, can this be controlled per site collection or is it Tenant wide?

    • For creation, can a team be created ...against... an existing Site Collection, yet? ie there was some discussion here from several months ago

...so ya, thoughts? tips? ideas? vents?
